Goooooooooooooood morning Laker nation (it’s not morning anymore). How does it feel? How does it feel waking up on this sweet sweet Saturday morning knowing that the Los Angeles Lakers are FINALLY a .500 basketball team. Get ready LA, it’s time to start prepping for the ring ceremony in October.
March 24th was a must-win game. Both the Lakers and Thunder sat one game under .500 and were matched up in a duel for first place. D’Angelo Russell was out. I had little to no hope. Must-win game + DLo out + haven’t been .500 all year = ADisappointing game from ADisney.
Would he suddenly decide to show up when it matters most? I wasn’t convinced. The only things I knew for certain: Austin Reaves would play sound, fundamental basketball, and Malik Beasley would do his best to smash a hole through the backboard. Well, it’s time to officially declare this blog an apology to Anthony Davis. You did it big guy, you came through for the purple and gold when we needed you. Cheers to you Anthony, you earned this celebratory post on the ArmchairExperts.blog.
It also sounds like Lebron James is getting close to making his return to the hardwood (no homo). We haven’t seen him since the Mavs started their Embarrassment Tour by blowing a 27-point lead on national TV. Once the GOAT is back, we’re just going to have to hope and pray the fraud-goat, Michael Jordan, doesn’t pay more NBA players to dive into Lebron’s kneecaps. As long as that tomfoolery doesn’t happen, the Lakers are practically a lock for the Finals. The entire city of Golden State just threw up everywhere. Enjoy the taste of your unloaded intestines, clowns.
The Rob Pelinka revenge tour is upon us, here we come.
Here we fuckin come.
