Thanksgiving Picks of the Century

It’s the best day of year. I for one am thankful for football, gambling, and most of all the Dallas Cowboys. America realizes what’s good for the world is watching the Boys in Silver and Blue every Thanksgiving so we can watch the best team in the world. Let’s make this Thanksgiving even better by making a shit ton of money to pay for all the food we’re gonna over-consume today.

Green Bay Packers +8.5 @ Detroit

  • This pick makes me sick to my stomach. I’ve been a big Lions fans this season and for the most part they’ve been reliable on a weekly basis. I just think 8.5 points might be too much to swallow for a division rival on this day (wait until my next pick). Crazy shit happens on Thanksgiving and Green Bay has done enough to be considered frisky this year. We’ll see if Goff has enough in his bag to cover a larger spread.

Cowboys -13.5 vs. Commanders

  • Ignore everything I just said about too many points to swallow for a divisional rival on Thanksgiving. This line has moved from 11 to 13.5 over the last few days and it makes sense. Dallas beats the piss out of bad teams and have covered double-digit spreads each of the last two weeks. The problem is I don’t fully know if Washington qualifies as a bad team. The Howelliban air raids poor defenses seemingly every week. We’ll have to see if DB the DB has enough firepower to fight back against the Commie takeover.

Seahawks +7 vs. 49ers

  • I’m sorry, there’s no way I’m taking Brock Purdy as a 7 point road favorite. Fuck Brock Purdy and his inflated ass stats, I can’t believe this guy is getting MVP discourse. I’m also picking Seattle hoping and praying Geno Smith is gonna play, he’s questionable as of right now. I’m just gonna need somebody on that defense to turn Brock Purdy into a pumpkin for this lovely Thanksgiving night.

Can I go 3 for 3 on Turkey Day 2023? I guess we’ll find out after 8 hours of free football. I’ll be stuffing my face with Turkey, potatoes, and Ws after a long hard day of sitting in front of my TV. Let’s get it.
